"To provide clients with programs to effectively reduce losses and exposure to liability"
The Secure Environment
Concern for security is a significant factor in determining where people choose to live and establish their businesses.
CORS Management Inc was established to assist property owners, real estate developers, architects, and property management professionals.
Our independent security consulting service helps decision-makers in quickly determining the most effective and economic crime prevention techniques required to resolve security issues.
Our mandate is to identify security vulnerabilities and provide accurate information on the most appropriate and affordable security measures to enhance the quality and marketability of any property.
Risk - Theft assessments
Develop Programs to reduce the potential for losses and liabilities
Implement and manage security and loss prevention programs
Provide compliance testing/audits to ensure results from each program
Needs Analysis
The needs analysis determines whether or not disciplines and procedures are being followed according to their design and intent. Our analysis addresses:
Physical Security
Includes locks, alarms, access control systems, cameras, lighting, and building construction. We develop the RFQ (request for quote ) or RFP (request for proposal) for suppliers, evaluate submissions and submit recommendations.
Upon acceptance, contacts are awarded. As project manager, we oversee the installation and commissioning on each phase of the job until completion.
Procedures Security
Policies, procedures, controls and disciplines are developed to ensure assets are protected against intentional or unintentional losses and provide audit trails to ensure compliance.
Loss Prevention
Error
Losses created from errors are difficult to detect and remedy. Often, errors are caused by individuals planning to defraud organizations.
Waste
Increased product costs are inevitable when waste goes unchecked. Waste may be intentional.
Damage
Damage indicators left unattended may lead to escalating damage occurrences.
Theft
Internal and external theft may go unnoticed unless it is brought to the attention of management and acted upon. Uncontrolled losses are a result of management not being aware of theft losses or ineffective loss control programs.
Fraud
In the absence of controls and monitoring procedures these losses will not be detected.
Violence in the Workplace
- Conflict Management
- Employee awareness and preparedness
- Personal Safety
Provincial legislation is setting the direction for employers to address and reduce the problem of violence in the workplace.
We identify the potential for violence in the workplace and introduce programs to educate employees, introduce required policies and procedures and instruct management on the means and methods of preventing violence and reacting when it occurs.
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
CPTED involves design of physical space in the context of the needs of bona fide users of the space (physical, social, and psychological needs), the normal and expected (or intended) use fo the space (the activity or absence of activity planned for the space),and the predictable behaviour of both bona fide users and offenders. Therefore, in the CPTED approach, a design is proper if it recognizes the designated use of the space, defines the crime problem incidental to and the solution compatible with the designated use, and incorporates the crime prevention strategies that enhance (or at least do not impair) the effective use of the space, CPTED draws not only on physical and urban design but also on contemporary thinking in behavioral and social science, law enforcement, and community organization.

Our qualified CPTED practitioners provide assessments and recommendations to meet architectural and municipal by-law requirements for the reduction of criminal behaviour.
Contingency Planning
We design and implement contingency plans and programs to address corporate strategies when involved in work stoppage (strikes).
Our formula includes 5 levels of strike - 5 levels of risk and 5 levels of priorities have proven to be most effective for protecting assets, assigning duties for management and allowing for the production of goods or services throughout the duration of the work stoppage.
Security Management
Security programs relay o resources to implement and manage programs designed to protect assets, reduce incidents of loss and liability.
The effectiveness of security programs are determined by the physical and procedural programs and the personnel who administer them.
Our experience allows us to audit existing programs for cost and operational effectiveness as we evaluate the requirements to reduce exposure of loss and liability.
Compliance
To ensure programs are achieving the results they were designed for scheduled and unscheduled audits test the effectiveness of the programs. As needed, we adjust programs to ensure results are achieved. |
